Prior to Markham, Milland played the lead role from 1953-1954 in a CBS sitcom, Meet Mr. Elen Willard made her acting debut as Deidre Waugh in the 1960 segment "The Bad Spell". In the early episodes of this program, Markham had an assistant, John Riggs, but the Riggs character was written out after only a few programs had aired, leaving Markham to solve crimes solo.ĭayton Lummis appeared as Howard Fulton in the 1959 episode entitled "The Father". Markham's cases could take him almost anywhere in the world, although he was based in New York City. His fees could vary from the very considerable to his wealthier and corporate clients to nothing for those who desperately needed his services but had few financial means. In that Markham had been a successful lawyer, he had the leisure to take detective cases based on his own interest. Milland played private investigator and attorney Roy Markham.

Markham is a CBS drama television series starring Ray Milland, which aired during the 60 seasons following Gunsmoke on Saturday nights, under the sponsorship of the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company. She died in Los Angeles on August 19th, 2008, following complications from surgery for cancer.

Webber was also skilled at Middle Eastern bellydancing and served as a professional bellydancing instructor in Van Nuys, California from 1969 to 1980. Under her birth name Marguerite Empey, Webber became Playboy's Playmate of the Month on two occasions, in May 1955 and February 1956 (the latter shot by Meyer). She modeled for numerous men's magazines throughout the 1950s and '60s, posing for renowned photographers such as Bunny Yeager, Peter Gowland and film director Russ Meyer. As a girl, she received ballet lessons from Russian ballet dancer Maria Bekefi and became a chorus girl in San Francisco in the early 1950s. Diane Webber (born Marguerite Diane Empey) was a model, actress and dancer, born in Los Angeles, California.
